Our Team

Claire is the Centre Director at Wilcox Street Early Education and has been in the Early Childhood industry since 2005. She first joined the team in 2013 before taking time to travel overseas and then relocated to Melbourne. Claire grew up in Albury and is enjoying being back on the border with her family.
Claire is a passionate and experienced early childhood professional and understands the importance of the early years in providing the foundations for lifelong learning.
Involving the local community where possible is of upmost importance to Claire, as well as working in partnership with the families and educators of Wilcox Street to provide high quality care and education.
Claire values building strong and long lasting relationships with educators, families, and children to create a fun, safe and nurturing environment.

Yvette has been a part of the Wilcox Street Early Education community since April 2008. Yvette has always been passionate about continually developing her knowledge of Early Childhood Education, and as such, completed her Bachelor of Education in March 2014.
Yvette has built strong relationships with many families that have attended Wilcox Street and believes in fostering close partnerships when teaching their young children. Yvette supports a preschool program that provides opportunities for a child to develop holistically; ensuring that it also aligns with the Early Years Learning Framework.
Yvette understands the importance of her role in promoting independence and supporting children’s social and emotional skills to ensure they have a positive transition to primary school. Yvette incorporates diversity and natural resources into engaging, open ended play spaces for children to explore, investigate, learn new skills, and to have fun.
Being the educational leader, Yvette is passionate about researching and learning the best practices to implement and share with her team of educators. She is always up to date with industry recommendations and transition to school ideals.
Outside of Yvette’s passion for Early Childhood, she has raised three children and is now a proud grandparent to two grandchildren.

Wilcox Street endeavours to employ educators who are motivated, eager to try new things, have initiative, are relaxed, and generate enthusiasm for the children attending our service.
Over the years, we have established long lasting relationships between our families and long serving educators. Their commitment and dedication have proven to be one of the centres greatest assets.
