    NURSERY

    6 weeks to 2 years

    Warm and Nurturing Care for Your Baby’s First Steps

    Our nursery provides a warm, caring and safe environment for our littlest people. This room caters for twelve children all under the age of two.

    We recognise the importance of maintaining your home routine to the best of our ability to ensure a smooth transition into the centre.

    Nursery programs are designed to develop children’s sense of belonging, their independence, language development, and motor skills.

    Educators form trusting relationships during the early years through one on one interactions, showing care and affection, understanding and respecting each individual childs needs and routines.

    TODDLERS

    15 months to 2.5 years

    Play-Based Learning for Curious and Confident Toddlers

    As a toddler, children are opening up to new challenges as their communication skills expand and they learn to concentrate, experiment and explore.

    Our toddler rooms main focus is assisting children to develop their independence through self help skills including toileting, dressing, meal times and hygiene.

    A strong focus is also on the development of social engagement between children and their peers. Our educators provide exciting play spaces large enough for multiple children to assist in the develop of spatial awareness and the early stages and parallel and associative play.

    JUNIORS

    2 to 3 years

    Building Confidence and School Readiness Through Engaging Activities

    The Junior room caters for 10 children each day and is delivered by an educator who has a Bachelor of Education.

    The smaller sized room allows children to develop strong relationships based on trust and respect with both peers and educators.

    Each day children are encouraged to extend and develop a range of skills with educator guidance. Educators place a strong emphasis on building social communication skills, in particular two-way communication, initiating play with peers, and negotiating (sharing and turn taking) in both child led and teacher initiated play.

    Children in this room continue developing their play, extending from parallel and associative play, building foundations for cooperative play in later years. Children also begin to take on more complex roles in play by transferring knowledge from their environment and community.

    PRESCHOOL

    3 to 4 years

    Learning Through Supported Exploration and Discovery Play

    Our curriculum offers a variety of learning experiences that cater for each individual child’s developmental abilities, needs and knowledge. Both child initiated and educator facilitated learning is promoted. Children learn many skills through play experiences such as literacy, numeracy, science, social, communication, emotional, independence and wellbeing.

    The centres extensive range of resources provides numerous opportunities where children can engage, explore, experiment and investigate during play.

    We recognise the importance of the transition from preschool to primary school and that it can a both challenging and exciting for both children, parents and their educators. We will ensure these transitions are successful by building positive commonalty between environments.
